    I have installed a security system at work, and it was working just fine until yesterday it decided that it didn’t want to open the doors. I have called the company responsible for the installation for support, and it turns out they’ve been unable to help me. I will spare you the frustrating details of the conversation I’ve had with them over the phone…

    So as you can guess, we are locked out of our office and this situation would probably be ridiculous if it wasn’t so frustrating. I’ve been thinking of calling a locksmith, but since this is a security system keeping the doors locked, would they be able to help? What do you guys think?

    I’m sorry to hear that, I hope you can resolve the situation as soon as possible. I don’t know if a locksmith can help you with this problem, but I guess you have nothing to lose calling one and asking them for help.

    Your security system company can’t help you? I would consider switching to a better company if I were you.

    You should definitely call a locksmith. Maybe they can’t fix your security system but at least they should be able to allow you to get inside your office.

    I had problems with my own security system last year, and I called Lockup Services Inc. They got there very quickly and they solved my problems, I thought they were very professional, too. If you’re somewhere in the GTA I recommend them, I’m sure they’ll be able to help you.

    This is so terrible! I agree with everyone here, you should call a locksmith for help.

    So you’ve been unable to enter your office for 2 days now? Have you tried getting in through a window? I did that once, when I locked myself out of my house, fortunately it was during a hot summer day and one of our windows was open.

    Thank you all for your advice. I did call a locksmith and they’ve been able to help, the security system is fixed now. However, I’m considering changing since as you can imagine I’m really not satisfied with the service provided by our security company.

    No, I didn’t try getting in through a window… Maybe if a window had been left open I would have tried, but I didn’t have that chance. At the same time I’m glad there were no windows left open, I would be worried if that happened. You don’t pay for a security system only to leave your windows open for thieves and vandals to try getting in.

    I’m glad your locksmith could resolve the situation quickly. But what did you do during the time you and your employees couldn’t get in? Did you give everyone a few days off?

    No, most of the work we had to do could be done online, so most employees could work from home… Only a few important documents were missing, but at least it did not mess with our schedule too much. We’ll be fine, but I’ll be searching for a new security system as soon as possible.

    Yeah, you should definitely change. In the meantime if you have another problem, you know you can rely on your locksmith to come to your rescue quickly!
