Good day everyone. I am going to have a new furnace installed. I would like to have one installed before winter hits us. My current furnace is pretty old, but I did not buy it or have that installed. This is the first time I will do this.

I am sure some of you have more experience in these matters. I would like to know what things I should consider or look for before I make my final decision. If anyone can also make recommendations regarding brands or companies to call, I would appreciate that too. Thank you in advance.

Hey there. The latest high-efficiency furnaces have one distinct advantage over the older ones – you can cut your fuel bill almost by half. At least that is something to look forward to!

One thing about furnaces; do not assume that just because it puts out more BTUs, it is the best one to get. I suggest that before you make the purchase, you have to think about the area that you want heated. Here’s the thing; if you get a furnace that has a high output and you don’t need it, then the thing will not function well.

Not only that, it will cause extra stress on its components, causing it to burn out quickly. It will also be wasting energy. It could become erratic by causing hot and cold spots, making it rather uncomfortable. For this, it is best to have an expert come over and perform some tests. Then you will know what you need.

Oh I see. I would have made that mistake; getting the most BTUs. In fact, I know that’s exactly what I would have done. Thank goodness you mentioned this. I owe you one!

Make sure you go with an expert, one that you can trust. This is an important installation. This is not something you should scrimp on. While the brand is important too, if the installation is not done right, it will affect not only its reliability, but the equipment itself.

OK, I hear you. Can you make any suggestions?

Absolutely. I would go with Climate Experts every single time. I called them for my own needs and I will always recommend them. They are experts that you can definitely trust. They are licensed, bonded and insured. They have very good customer service. Trust me, I know. It is actually one of the most important things to me (customer service). If you have questions or concerns, they are the people to call.

What I like also is the fact that they are 24/7. Before I used them, I looked around and they offered competitive prices. They also service many of the major brands. So, if you get a good brand, the chances are that they can help you with it.

Great! Thank you for that info. I will check out their site and probably call them.

Most welcome! They also have a maintenance program and I thought that it would be useful for someone like me. They check for carbon monoxide and other dangerous things. That gives me peace of mind. You may want to consider that too.

I probably will. Once again, thank you. Thanks to all of you for your responses. Take care now.
