Has anyone ever bought flowers online? I was wondering if it was a good idea to order flowers online from a florist shop. Like, will I get exactly what I order? Is there any chance the flowers will get damaged during shipping? I want to make sure they get to me in perfect condition, this is very important!

I’m sorry if this sounds like a strange question but… Are you actually thinking about sending a bouquet of flowers to yourself?

lol well yes! I’m shopping for flowers for my wedding, and my soon to be husband doesn’t care much about flowers but I want to be able to have a custom bouquet, and I want flowers to decorate the venue as well.

So yes, I’d like to have the flowers delivered at my place before the wedding so I can get the venue ready for the reception.

I see! Well congratulations! It’s exciting that you’re getting married soon!

To answer your question I guess there’s no problem with ordering flowers online, I mean, if you shop on the website of a reputable wedding florist surely they know how to take proper precautions to make sure your flowers look as good as they should when they get to you!

This is exciting news! But why are you thinking about ordering your wedding flowers online? I have already shopped online to send a bouquet and a gift basket to some friends of mine when they had a new baby, but for a wedding, wouldn’t it be better to visit the florist shop and get your flowers there?

I thought about that yes, but the florist shop I have visited in my hometown didn’t impress me at all. So I went online to search for a wedding florist and I found the website of King West Flowers.

I looked at many pictures of their bouquets and I really like what I saw, so that’s why I was thinking about maybe ordering custom bouquets from them for my big day! I’m just a bit worried about what they will look like when I receive them.

They do have a lot of beautiful stuff on their website! But yeah don’t worry about the shipping, they won’t stuff your flowers in a big cardboard box and ship them to you. I see that they are in Toronto, so I guess depending on where you are located you can get same day delivery so your flowers will be as fresh as can be!

Have you ever heard about the language of flowers? They say each flower has a different meaning, so it could be interesting to look into that before you have your wedding bouquet designed!

This is what I did for my wedding a few years ago and I had fun with it.

Thank you! I guess I have nothing to be worried about then…

What is the language of flowers? I’d like to learn more about it.

You can check out this link to get started The Language and Meaning of Flowers for Married Couples.

Of course you can find many more resources on that online, so you can add something meaningful to your bouquet. For example, roses symbolize love and passion, but they have many other meanings depending on their colour!

You can also ask your florist for some advice, they will help you find the right flowers for the occasion if you need some inspiration.
