Sorry for sounding a little ignorant, but until recently, I had never heard of a coffee enema. I was talking to some friends and this subject came up. My friend Giancarlo seemed to know more about it than others.

At first, I thought he was pulling my leg. You see, Giancarlo is a bit of a joker, so I initially nodded and smiled a lot. I went home and checked if there was such a thing and indeed there was.

So, why would anyone want to use coffee as an enema? Are there benefits or advantages to this?

Your question piqued my natural curiosity and I ended up wasting a whole hour doing research on coffee enemas. I ended up finding a website with good information regarding this topic. They have resources about the best coffees to use, how to apply it properly, and things like that. I think it is supposed to help with things like constipation.

Hey, give yourself some credit. At least you are trying to learn. 🙂

There can be several reasons why people have coffee enemas. It is generally all health-related. You know that we pretty much live in a toxic world (often in more ways than one!) Anyway, there are toxic metals that can be found in food and water and also in the air. Even pesticides and herbicides can be found in water supplies.

Apart from all that, we also take a lot of medication. Sometimes, it may be temporary, but as we age, these medicines may be for life. These drugs, even when stopped, can remain in us for years. One way of coping with this is by using coffee enemas.

A coffee enema can dramatically reduce these toxins. It is thought that this treatment can help with many diseases and conditions.

Fun fact: coffee enemas are often used as a method of detoxification. It can help with problems of the colon. It is even thought to help with pain. It may even get rid of parasites.

I actually tried out a coffee enema a while ago. I’d been having problems with body for months, and none of the medicine I took seemed to be working. I tried psyllium fiber but while it helped, I was still having problems. So I decided to try out a coffee enema and it actually helped quite a lot.

When you performed this procedure, did it hurt in any way? Can you feel the heat of the coffee?

Nah, not really. I didn’t feel any pain. Frankly, I don’t think there should be pain. If there is, I would think that you had better mention that to your doctor.

It was a little uncomfortable though, but then you get used to it. As for the liquid, you never use it hot. In fact, I read somewhere that anything cold is also not good. You need to let it sit and cool down so that it is at room temperature.
